The writer Catalin Dorian Florescu interview
He was born on the 28th of August 1967 in Timisoara, Romania.

He was 9 years old when he did his first trip to Italy and America, turning back to Romania after 8 months.
In the summer of 1982 he has taken the high school admittance exam and after that he has manage to run away to Switzerland with his parents.
Since 1982 he is living in Zürich, having in the meantime swiss citizenship.

He has studied Psychology and Psychopathology at the Zürich University. After the graduation (in 1995) he has worked for 6 years as a psychologist in an rehabilitation center for drog addicts.
Since 2001 he is free professional writer in Zürich.

He has published the following works:

„Im Nabel der Welt“, short story published in the „Swiss Made - Junge Literatur aus der Schweiz“ anthology, by Wagenbach Publishing House in Berlin, in the autumn of 2001;
„Wunderzeit“, novel published by Pendo Publishing House in Zürich, in the spring of 2001;
„Der kurze Weg nach Hause“, novel published by Pendo Publishing in Zürich, in the autumn of 2002;
„Radu und der Mann, der reden wollte“, short story published in the „Enemies, a Love Affair“ anthology, by Swiridoff Publishing House in Tübingen, in the autumn of 2002;
„ 11. September“, short story published in the Chamisso-Preisträgern anthology, by Klett-Cotta Publishing House, in the spring of 2003.

He is monhly columnist at Züri-Tipp, supliment of Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeigers.
